Disgraced royal Prince Andrew may be forced to reveal shocking details about his relationship with twisted tycoon Jeffrey Epstein.
Lawyers for Epstein’s sex-trafficking victims are demanding records of the royal’s phone calls, text messages and emails with his longtime pal.
According to the Daily Mirror, court papers also want Andrew to confirm or deny if he “engaged in any sexual act while at any of Epstein’s properties.”
Pals of the prince are slamming the latest efforts to get him to talk as a “cynical attempt by U.S. law firms to keep their case in the public eye.”
Epstein died mysteriously last August in a New York jail cell while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges. The coroner ruled his death a suicide.
A number of famous figures who cavorted in Epstein’s circle are under fire, including Andrew and the woman described as “Epstein’s pimp,” socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, who remains in hiding.
Legal eagles have threatened to subpoena Andrew if he travels to the U.S.
One of Epstein’s victims, Virginia Roberts, has claimed she had underage sex with Prince Andrew in London and New York. He has denied the claims.
In January, lawyer Lisa Bloom — representing five of Epstein’s alleged sex-trafficking victims — said it was time for Andrew “to stop playing games and to come forward to do the right thing and answer questions.”
She added that her clients were “outraged and disappointed at Prince Andrew’s behaviour.”
U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman said the prince has provided “zero cooperation” to the FBI and prosecutors seeking to speak with him about Epstein.
According to court documents, at least 40 underage girls were recruited for sex with Epstein and his high-powered pals.
In March, Reuters reported that Prince Andrew had declined to cooperate with the investigation into possible co-conspirators of Epstein.
“Contrary to Prince Andrew’s very public offer to cooperate with our investigation into Epstein’s co-conspirators, an offer that was conveyed via press release, (he) has now completely shut the door on voluntary cooperation and our office is considering its options,” Berman told reporters in March.
Meanwhile, Maxwell, 58, is reportedly hiding at a chateau in the south of France to avoid being questioned about her benefactor, Epstein.
The socialite introduced Andrew to Epstein and they became close friends. She has not been seen since a staged photo emerged last summer after the financier’s death.
Maxwell has been accused of grooming and luring girls into Epstein’s vile web. And at least several alleged victims claim she took part in the sexual abuse.
